Life Membership

Life Membership allows you access to the Union facilities (and access to other Students' Unions throughout the UK) for life, for a one-off payment of just £20!

With Life Membership you can even sign up to four guests in to the Union. In order to be eligible, all we ask is that you have completed at least one full semester at the University of Strathclyde.

Please note you will require a form of acceptable photo ID (driver's licence, passport or PASS card) to access the building.

Check out the Terms & Conditions and please note that if you lose your Life Membership card replacement cards cost £5.

Life Membership Promotion

Between Friday 30th May and Saturday 14th June we're giving you a massive 25% off Life Membership. That means it's just £15 to get into the Union FOREVER! To take advantage of the promotion you must include the following promotional code on your application form: TFI081

This promotion has additional Terms & Conditions so check them out here.

Life Membership Application Form

Next time you're in the Union pick up a Life Membership application flyer from Reception, Level 7 or Level 10 and simply fill in your details. Then bring it along with your payment to the Cash Office on Level 10 of the Union. We are working on getting this process onto our website but in the meantime please bear with us.

Associate Membership

If you are studying a course at Strathclyde that is not a degree or diploma course (eg an evening or summer school course), you are eligible for Associate Membership of the Union. Associate Membership gives you full access to the Union's facilities.
To get associate membership, simply come up and see Aneela in the PA's office on Level 10 of the Union, bringing with you a copy of the letter confirming your registration on the course and a passport photo. Any questions, contact Aneela on executivepa@theunion.strath.ac.uk

Reciprocal Membership

If you are a student at another university or FE college it is likely that your Union has a reciprocal membership agreement with Strathclyde. This means that you will be able to access Strathclyde Union on production of your student card. You may also be able to sign in guests, though this depends on the agreement your Union has with ours. To check how many guests you can sign in, contact deputypresident@theunion.strath.ac.uk. For a guide, students at Glasgow Caley and Glasgow can sign in 4 guests, students at the Glasgow FE colleges can sign in 2.
