Overview

We meet regularly to discuss and debate all aspects of current affairs. We organise public events, including guest speakers, to further the conservative cause in Scotland and provide a social forum where Strathclyde conservatives can meet like-minded people.

The primary objective of the society is to further the conservative cause within Strathclyde and throughout Scotland as a whole. This will be achieved by;

  1. Campaigning on all aspects of current affairs
  2. Forging strong links with conservative groups at other institutions, and local associations, across Scotland
  3. Hosting guest speakers
  4. Attending the annual Scottish and British Conservative conferences
  5. Lobbying officials and law-makers, including but not limited to visiting the Scottish Parliment, on the issues of the day
  6. Organising social events where Strathclyde Conservatives can meet like-minded people
