Graduation Fund

What is the Fund and why does it exist?

This Fund is provided by the University of Strathclyde to assist students who are financially disadvantaged to meet the costs of graduation.

The Fund was created primarily for students from widening access backgrounds, mature, disabled, carers and care leavers to remove financial barriers and ensure they are able to graduate when their studies are completed.

What can be applied for from the Fund?

Basic essential costs for graduation can be applied for including the hire of gowns, costs for the graduation ceremony and other expenses including fees and travel costs which may prohibit students from applying for or attending their graduation ceremony.

Costs which may be deemed as added extras or not essential cannot be claimed through this Fund such as professional graduation photographs.

What is the application process?

Application for June 2017 graduations are now closed. Fund Application Forms must be completed and returned to The Advice Hub by 5pm on 15th September 2017 for November graduations. Paper forms are available on request from ussa.advice@strath.ac.uk
